Title: Front Office Receptionist
Description: The front office receptionist assists with patient needs and helps to keep the flow of duties running smoothly. They must uphold the company’s policies and procedures and must always act within ethical boundaries. The front office receptionist must have strong customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
Greet patients and parents in person or on the telephone
Answering or referring inquiries as needed
Schedule appointments in person or by telephone while following scheduling guidelines for each provider
Check in patients and notify support staff of patient arrival
Maintain patient demographic information by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information, especially updated insurance information
Help patients in distress by finding medical staff support to respond to emergencies
Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting changes as needed
Contribute to team effort to accomplish results. Example: distributing updated forms for completion or collecting email addresses for portal enrollment
Cooperate with all nursing and front office staff to ensure efficient patient care
Function as part of the team, communicate with all team members
Follow OSHA and practice policies and procedures
Remain calm and professional in all situations
Demonstrate initiative and use time efficiently

High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic Computer Knowledge
Ability to lift 10lbs
